Five Unique trends in Cosmetic Surgery Treatment Procedures

Like any other domain, cosmetic surgery treatment procedures have its share of new and innovative trends. These untested procedures receive great attention on the internet. However, amongst all the hype, it is easy to forget that these procedures are just experiments and are not endorsed by any medical regulatory body.  In this article, five of these “fads” are introduced.  It must be remembered that these procedures should be approached with caution. You should consult your doctor if you wish to try out one of the following procedures.

Vampire Facelift

Vampire Facelift, despite the disturbing name, is a procedure in which the plasma from the blood of the patient is injected into the facial areas of the patient. The advocates of the procedure say that the procedure stimulates collagen production and replenishes the fat under the skin. The procedure is not approved by FDA. Some doctors inject hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers along with the plasma to ensure results that are visible immediately.

Laser-Lipo

Laser Liposuction uses laser to melt the fat in the body. This fat is then suctioned off, leaving a tighter skin.  Some invasive surgery is involved as the laser heating element and the suction tubes have to be inserted under the skin. The procedure has been touted as a huge leap forward over traditional liposuction. However, the procedure has large risks of causing urns, scar tissues and pain. For now, many cosmetic doctors prefer to stick to traditional liposuction techniques.

Stem Cell Facelift

Stem Cell Facelift is a fancy name for cosmetic treatment with fat injections. The procedure was “created” when it was discovered that fat contained stem cells. Stem cells are cells that could potentially develop into any type of cells in the body. However, there is no scientific basis of the claim. Experts say that although stem cells have lot of potential in curing a number of ailments, the procedure of stem cell facelift has no scientific foundation.

Ulthera

Ulthera is the latest in non-invasive eyebrows lift. It employs high frequency ultrasonic waves and has been approved for use on eyebrow region of women in their 40s and 50s. So what is the problem with the procedure? In one word, PAIN! The procedure is really painful and the handful of the test patients said that they will not repeat the treatment even after great results.

Feet lift

Feet lift refers to cosmetic surgery treatment procedure for feet. These include shorting of digits, liposuction for small toes and dermal fillers for the padded areas. What many people requesting one or more procedures fail to realize is a simple fact. Out feet are among the most complex anatomical structures in the human body. They bear all the load of our body and any alteration will disrupt the delicate balance of small bones, muscles and tendons. Many competent cosmetic doctors actually advise against such cosmetic surgery treatment procedures.
